This was my first London Expo, my 2nd Expo in total and wow I was blown away.
Friday -
So like quite a few people I went down to London the day before Expo. Got the train from Hartlepool and got a train straight to Kings Cross at 9:30. Got to Kings Cross in just under 3 hours which is pretty damn impressive I think. So here's me in Kings Cross all on my own, first time in London and wow things where so easy. Only had to wait an hour for Tony and Jodie too show up and then off to the Underground we went. Now for a newcomer to London you hear the stories where the Underground is mental, crazy but it was so easy, man I wish I'd been to London sooner. However after about half an hour we finally arrived at the PTI, dropped our things off in the room chatted to a few people then it was off to Namco arcade. On the way there we went to Forbidden Planet which is the biggest Forbidden Plant I have EVER seen. I spent about £40 there on new manga then we charged on to Namco. We even cut through China Town which I spazzed over cause I've always wanted to go there but eventually we arrived at Namco and began Tony's Air Hockey Tournement.
Things start off well for me, I won my first game 8 - 1 which took me into the Quarter Final with Tony himself who was on a 12 win streak I think over 2 years so I was shaking like crazy when the game kicked off. I thought the game was Tony's when it was 6 - 3 to him but I did the come back of the centuary and won 6 - 7, oh the power I felt
Saturday -
Well the day of Expo came and me, Tony and Jodie where up and queing in Excel by 6 a.m @.@ So we qued for 3 hours while doing random and crazy stuff...as you do
Saturday night brought madness on PTI. The Nerf War was unreal, especially when it was turned into the Nerf Hunt. I took my camera with those being hunted and thank to my awesome tactics Slave emerged victorios for the Hunted team. After a break and a chat it was off to bed.
Sunday -
Sunday we got up the same time as Saturday and this time made it too the front of the que YAY !! We got up to the same stuff we did the day before to keep us entertained lol. So Sunday was alot quiter and alot more easier to move around and film stuff. Went on a little shopping spree cause I am low on anime related things in my room before heading off to the TCT meet.
The TCT was epic even though when we first got together we where like 'er'. Completly had no idea what to do
Sunday at PTI was abit calmer.
Monday -
I had to leave super early to get my train which stopped me saying a proper goodbye to everyone. And rush hour aint bad either in the Underground, I had my suitcase and aload of bags and I got through with not 1 problem. Lol must have caught the Underground on a good weekend.
Well that was my first London Expo experience and I loved every minute of it. Carn't wait till May Expo cause I have a feeling that's going to be alot better. I didn't meet some people I wanted to meet and I missed not cosplaying which will be corrected come May 2010.
